June Meeting
  • NMMS will meet in the Multi-Purpose Room of the NM Museum of Natural History at 7:30 pm on June 4th, 2002.
  • I'm not sure what our program will be. I've included below a message from Vice President John Rahart, which addresses his thoughts for the meeting:
"Have several vcr tapes available if there is interest: Chuck Barrows, Hal Burdsall and others to choose from, and some other interesting materials. There's an interesting article on collecting strategies and ethics. Thought I'd touch a bit on these things. May have some winecap stropharias and some M. esculenta specimens if they hold up or I can preserve them."
  • Foray
  • Members of the Foray Committee visited Sipapu on Saturday May 18th. The facilities will work well for our event. There are several good collecting areas nearby.
  • We still need to determine a few of our costs, and then we should be able to set an amount for the Foray fee. We hope to have that information in early next month, possibly by the meeting on June 4th.
  • All the information, as we have it, will be posted on the Foray webpage: http://www.swcp.com/mycowest/foray/nmforay.htm.
  • NAMA '02 Foray
  • Extend your mushroom season by attending the Annual NAMA Foray, Oct 10-13, at Diamond Lake, Oregon (just north of Crater Lake). Details at http://www.namyco.org/events/naf02.htm.
  • Read this bulletin and other NMMS information
