Foray through Lombardy, Italy
September 27-October 13, 2002 Based on the success of the trips taken during the past seven years, which combined visits with mycological clubs, forays, and some outstanding gourmet dining, Ennio Giusti, former member of the Mycological Association of Washington, DC now residing in Italy, is planning and entirely new trip this year. This trip will begin and end in Milan, the capital of Lombardy, the richest and most dynamic region of Italy. We will concentrate on exploring this region of high Alpine and Apennine mountains, the vast plains of the Po River valley, and some of the most famous lakes. The trip will include at least eight forays in diverse habitats, guides, land transportation by private bus, three-star accommodations, full breakfasts, and one major meal per day.
