Subj:   Request for Specimens: Podaxis pistillaris

I have been doing some multi-element analysis of, among others, some secotioid agarics supplied by Dennis Desjardin. Not surprisingly, their spectrum of metals supports their relationship to specific genera of gilled fungi. For example, the mineral composition of Gyrophrangium and those of flavescent agarics of the Arvenses section do match very well. I found some odd, but interesting results for Podaxis pistillaris from CA, which I would like to confirm by analysing collections from elsewhere, particularly from New Mexico or the neighbouring states.
